Among the many summer activities offered in Madonna di Campiglio, one of the most beloved and practiced is cycling. Val Rendena, in fact, is crossed by approximately 30 km of cycle path connecting Madonna di Campiglio with Ponte Pià, a location just after Ragoli.
Madonna di Campiglio's Bikeland is the largest Bike Area in Italy, connecting the Dolomites of Brenta and the Glaciers of Adamello and Presanella directly to Lake Garda.
The numbers are exceptional: there are over 80 km of trails, about 1000 km of mountain biking routes, more than 100 km of cycle paths, and additionally, 14 ski lifts for transporting mountain bikes.
E-bike
Thanks to the use of E-bikes, even less experienced cyclists will be able to directly experience the beautiful experience of riding and traversing the various cycling routes of Trentino, regardless of the length and difficulty of the route. This is all thanks to the assisted pedaling that will save you time and effort. Don't miss the opportunity to fully experience nature in a sustainable way, alone or with your family and friends.
Bicibus
A great new convenience is the bike bus, a service dedicated to bikers that allows exploring Trentino by combining bus and bike. The ease of shortening the distances between the Dolomites and Lake Garda and saving time and effort to move economically and safely is one of the strengths of this service. Additionally, this service is included with the DoloMeet Guest Card.
A good cyclist's decalogue
There are some rules, both written and unwritten, that all cyclists should follow to make the most of their experience while respecting the environment and the people around them.
First and foremost, it's necessary to have a precise plan of the route to follow, preferably avoiding closed trails and muddy paths. Avoid disturbing other cyclists on the trail or attempting risky overtakes; caution in these cases is never too much. Last but not least, avoid littering and respect the trail, both the people using it and the local wildlife
The suggested routes
The very first route we can suggest is the cycle path that goes from Campiglio to Tione. The climbs and descents won't be very challenging, and much of the route is also paved. From Campiglio to Pinzolo is about 13 km, and continuing to Tione adds another 17 km to the route.
Two easy routes of different durations that can be undertaken are:
The Trail of the Two Valleys - takes about an hour, starting from the Madonna di Campiglio Tourist Office with arrival at Malga Fratte. 7 km of easy cycling.
The second one we propose is the tour of Val Genova, starting from Pineta di Pinzolo and ending at the Nardis Waterfalls. A suggestive tour in one of the most beautiful and evocative valleys in the entire area.
A more challenging tour could be the Pinzolo-Campiglio express. Around half an hour for a route of just over 1 km.
Where to rent
For bike and Ebike rentals, the main rental points we can suggest are Olimpionico Sport 2, Nazionale Des Alpes, and Noleggio 5 Laghi.
