Your four-legged friends can accompany you during your days in the woods of Trentino. They are allowed on cable cars. Always with respect and following a few rules, your dog can have fun exploring the lakes, meadows, and numerous trails of Trentino. Enjoy your holidays with your four-legged friends.
Behavioral Responsibilities for a Vacation with Your Dog in Trentino:
- Always use a leash, no longer than 1.50 meters, when accompanying the dog in urban areas and places open to the public; the only exceptions are dog areas designated by the municipalities; this means that even on trails, it is advisable to use a leash.
- Carry a muzzle, either rigid or soft, to be applied to the dog in case of risk to the safety of people or animals or at the request of the competent authorities.
- Entrust the dog to people capable of handling it properly.
- Ensure that the dog behaves appropriately according to the specific needs of living with people and animals in the context in which it lives.
- Pick up its feces (in urban areas), and have suitable tools for collecting them.
Owners' Responsibility:
When you own animals, they may cause damage to people or things. The Civil Code establishes that "the owner of an animal or anyone who uses it for the time it is in use is responsible for the damage caused by the animal, whether it was under custody, lost, or escaped, unless they prove force majeure."
